Eva Longoria Bastón, born Eva Jacqueline Longoria on March 15, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas, is an American actress, producer, director, and businesswoman of Mexican heritage. The youngest of four daughters, she grew up on a ranch in Texas and was raised Roman Catholic. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.Longoria initially gained recognition for her role as Isabella Braña on the CBS daytime soap opera "The Young and the Restless" (2001–2003). However, her breakthrough came with her portrayal of Gabrielle Solis on the critically acclaimed ABC television series "Desperate Housewives" (2004–2012), for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination.Beyond her iconic role in "Desperate Housewives," Longoria has built a diverse career in film and television. Her film credits include "The Sentinel," "Over Her Dead Body," "Frontera," "Lowriders," and more recently, "Flamin' Hot" (2023), which she directed, and "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip" (2025), where she plays Val.
