Evan Williams

Evan Williams is a Canadian actor and musician born on March 11, 1985, in Swan Hills, Alberta. After being raised in Calgary, he pursued his passion for the arts by studying theatre at Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University), and received early recognition when he won the Phyllis Pope Award for Best Performance in 2004 for his stage work. Williams began his screen career with roles in Save the Last Dance 2 and gained his first major visibility as Kelly Ashoona on the popular teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation from 2008 to 2009. He is most widely recognized for two subsequent major television roles: playing the charming Chevalier de Lorraine in the historical drama series Versailles (2015–2018), which earned him a Canadian Screen Award nomination, and starring as Elliot Augustine in the Hallmark Channel drama series The Way Home (2023–present). His film work includes a key role as Eddy Robinson Jr. in the controversial 2022 Netflix biopic Blonde, as well as lead parts in films like Lloyd the Conqueror and Escape Room. In addition to his on-screen work, Williams is also involved in humanitarian efforts, having worked with charities like buildOn and Free the Children.
