Evelyn Famà (born June 14, 1975, in Catania, Sicily) is an Italian actress and dancer known for her dynamic performances across theater, film, and television. She began studying classical, modern, and contemporary dance at the age of five and later enrolled in the Accademia di Belle Arti di Catania, focusing on set design. At eighteen, she joined the Umberto Spadaro Academy of Dramatic Arts at the Teatro Stabile di Catania, where she honed her acting skills. Her early dance career included classical ballets such as Giselle, Paquita, and Don Quixote, as well as contemporary adaptations of works by Giovanni Verga, Luigi Pirandello, and Federico García Lorca. Famà's theater credits include roles in productions like Lysistrata, Le rane, Ecuba, La lunga vita di Marianna Ucrìa, and Morir di fama, the latter of which she has performed since 2007. She has worked with renowned directors such as Luca Ronconi, Lamberto Puggelli, and Alessandro Siani. In 2001, she won the Salvo Randone International Prize for Best Actress, and in 2004, she received the Hystrio Award for Vocational Promise. Her portrayal of Hecuba as Polyxena and Cassandra in Le Toriane during the centenary of the Istituto Nazionale del Dramma Antico was particularly acclaimed. In film, Famà has appeared in Un milione di giorni (2011), Mauro c'ha da fare (2012), and Io sono la fine del mondo (2025), where she played Anna. She also featured in the documentary La storia vergognosa (2017), portraying Provvidenza Rumore, a courageous witness from the Monti Sicani region. On television, she portrayed Palmira Frisone in the Rai drama Il Figlio della Luna (2006) and appeared in Phone Center Brambilla (2007) and Bambine cattive (2011). Additionally, she has been featured in national advertising campaigns for Calcio Catania, Lidl, and Girella.
