Fabio De Luigi (born October 11, 1967, in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Italy) is a multifaceted Italian actor, comedian, film director, television presenter, and former baseball player. He is renowned for his work in Italian comedy films and television series. De Luigi began his career in the 1990s, gaining popularity through his collaborations with the Gialappa's Band and their TV shows. He is also known for his role in the Italian sitcom Love Bugs. In addition to his acting career, De Luigi has ventured into film direction. His directorial debut was with the film Tiramisù (2016), followed by It's All About Karma (2017). He continued his directorial work with Put Grandma in the Freezer (2018), When Mom Is Away (2019), and its sequel When Mom Is Away... With the Family (2020). In 2023, he directed Tre di troppo, and in 2025, he was involved in the production of 10 giorni con i suoi (10 Days with His Family). De Luigi has received several accolades for his work. He won the Capri Actor Award at Capri Hollywood in 2011 for his performance in The Worst Week of My Life. He has also been nominated for the Silver Ribbon (Nastro d'Argento) for Best Actor in a Comedy for his roles in When Mom Is Away and Let Me Introduce You to Sofia . In his personal life, De Luigi is the great-grandson of renowned Italian poet and screenwriter Tonino Guerra.
