
Fernando Tato
Fernando Tato is a multifaceted Spanish artist born in Ferrol (A Coruña), Spain, in 1977, who is active as an actor, director, screenwriter, and musician. He is a graduate of Art History from the University of Santiago de Compostela and holds a degree in Dramatic Art from ESAD in Galicia, having furthered his acting studies at the Lorena García de las Bayonas studio in Madrid. Tato is the co-founder and creative director of the film collective Kraken Films. As an actor, his television work includes roles in series such as Pulsaciones, Lobos e cordeiros, El faro, and Magi. He has an extensive filmography in short films, which he often writes and directs, with notable works including A Entrevista, Partners, and Fracturas, many of which have received awards and nominations. Additionally, Tato is a musician and a singer, having been the vocalist and guitarist for the band Azul Caimán and the singer, guitarist, and composer for the album Naufraga Noviembre by Comediante. His screenwriting talent has also been recognized, with his feature screenplay Adeus, Berta winning the 20th SGAE Screenplay Award Julio Alejandro 2023.
