FKA Twigs

FKA Twigs is the professional name of Tahliah Debrett Barnett (born January 16, 1988), an acclaimed English singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actor. Known for her highly experimental and "genre-bending" music, her work often incorporates elements of avant-pop, R&B, electronic music, and trip-hop. She began her career as a professional dancer, notably appearing as a backup dancer in music videos for artists like Jessie J and Kylie Minogue, before making her musical debut with her first EPs in 2012 and 2013. Her debut studio album, LP1 (2014), received critical acclaim and a Mercury Prize nomination, followed by the intensely personal and well-received album Magdalene (2019) and the mixtape Caprisongs (2022). As an actress, she made her feature film debut in Shia LaBeouf's autobiographical drama Honey Boy (2019), and has since taken on major roles in films like the 2024 reboot of The Crow and the Lotfy Nathan-directed supernatural thriller, The Carpenter's Son (2025), where she stars as The Mother (Mary).
