Emily Fortune Feimster is an American stand-up comedian, writer, and actress known for her affable, confessional style of comedy. Born on July 1, 1980, in Charlotte, North Carolina, she first gained national attention as a semi-finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing in 2010. Feimster rose to prominence as a writer and round-table panelist on E!'s late-night talk show Chelsea Lately, and subsequently starred as the fan-favorite character Colette Kimball-Kinney on the Hulu series The Mindy Project from 2015 to 2017.Her stand-up career has been highlighted by her acclaimed one-hour Netflix specials, Sweet & Salty (2020) and Good Fortune (2022), both of which earned Critics' Choice Award nominations and showcase her Southern charm and relatable stories about her upbringing and sexuality. As an actress, she has appeared in films like Office Christmas Party, Yes Day, and Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar. She also starred as Roo Russell alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Netflix action-comedy series FUBAR and has done voice work for animated projects like Pixar's Soul and Bless the Harts.
