Françoise Yip (born September 4, 1972, in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) is a Canadian actress renowned for her roles in action films and television series. Raised in Toronto, Ontario, she is of Chinese and French descent. Initially pursuing a degree in Political Science, Yip transitioned into modeling before embarking on her acting career. Yip gained international recognition for her performance in the 1995 action film Rumble in the Bronx, starring alongside Jackie Chan. Her portrayal earned her two Hong Kong Film Award nominations. She further solidified her status in the action genre with roles in Black Mask (1996), Romeo Must Die (2000), and Blade: Trinity (2004). Additionally, she appeared in the horror-action film Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007).
