Gabe Gabriel

Gabe Gabriel is a transgender writer, director, and actor who has penned feature-length works for US, Canadian, and South African producers and was the lead writer on the Netflix Global Top 10 hit TV series, Mandala Murders. Following his directorial debut No Hiding Here - South Africa’s first gay romcom - his semi-autobiographical film, Runs In The Family, released on Netflix in 2023 and went on to be nominated for Outstanding Film (TV/streaming) at the 35th GLAAD Awards. In recent years, Gabe has been selected to develop original TV show concepts for the Realness Institute’s Netflix Episodic Lab and the Canada-South Africa co-development fund, to pitch for Film Independent’s Fast Track, and to write and direct an original short film for the BFI’s More Films For Freedom fund. Since coming out as transgender, he has landed roles starring opposite the likes of Zazie Beetz, Glen Powell, Patricia Arquette, Myha'la, Ken Jeong, Tom Felton, and Dave Bautista. He is known for They Will Kill You (2026).
