Gabriel Spahiu
Gabriel Spahiu is a Romanian actor born on March 21, 1968, in Bucharest. He has established himself as a versatile performer in Romanian cinema, theatre, and television with a career spanning over two decades. He graduated from the Academy of Theatre and Film in Bucharest in 1996 and also holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Bucharest. Spahiu is known for his nuanced and naturalistic acting style, appearing in numerous critically acclaimed productions such as The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (2005), The Tube with a Hat (2006), Everybody in Our Family (2012), and Aferim! (2015). More recently, he has appeared in The Legend of Ochi (2025) as Dude Cop and Kontinental '25 (2025) as Ion. In addition to his acting career, Spahiu is also a dedicated professor at the National University of Theatre and Film "I.L. Caragiale" in Bucharest. He won the Gopo Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Everybody in Our Family in 2013.
