Gabriele Pizzurro

Gabriele Pizzurro (born January 1, 2004, in Rome) is an increasingly prominent young Italian actor who made his film debut in 2023 portraying Nino Scalia, one of the titular roles in Fireworks (Stranizza d’amuri), a dramatic coming-of-age story set in homophobic 1980s Sicily directed by Giuseppe Fiorello . His natural and heartfelt performance as the free‑spirited, curly‑haired Nino drew glowing praise—Metro Weekly described his acting as “natural … tracing Nino’s journey … to the heartbreak of being forced to denounce their relationship” . For this role, Pizzurro and co-star Samuele Segreto won the Premio Meglior giovane attore and received a Graziella Bonacchi Award in 2023. Following Fireworks, he appeared as Antonio in the 2025 comedy When Mom Is Away… With the In‑laws (10 giorni con i suoi), marking his second film credit . A trained stage actor, he performed in productions like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (playing Willy Wonka) and Goldoni's La casa nova at Teatro India in Rome, while continuing to refine his craft at the Accademia Silvio d’Amico.
