Gafur Uzuner is a distinguished Turkish actor, painter, and voice actor, born on June 1, 1959, in Tepeyurt, Ankara, Turkey. He initially pursued fine arts, graduating from the Gazi Education Institute Painting Department in 1980. Parallel to his artistic endeavors, he also received four years of practical theatre training at the Altındağ Public Education Center.Uzuner began his professional acting career in theatre in 1977 with the Levent Kırca Tiyatrosu. He later performed with several other notable theatre companies, including Şan Tiyatrosu, Nisa Serezli - Tolga Aşkıner, Sadri Alışık Tiyatrosu, Şişli Belediye Tiyatrosu, and Tiyatro Ti. His extensive stage work demonstrates his foundational training and commitment to the art.Beyond the stage, Gafur Uzuner has built a prolific career in both Turkish film and television, often appearing in a wide range of genres. His film credits include "Yangın Var" (2011), "Karaoğlan" (2013), "Meryem" (2013), and the upcoming "Pita Hall" (2025) where he is cast as Uysal.
