Gail Cronauer
Gail Cronauer is an American stage, television, and feature film actress, in addition to being an acting professor. She was born on December 23, 1948, in the United States, and grew up in New Jersey after being born in Pennsylvania. Cronauer received her BA in theatre and dance from Antioch College in 1971 and later obtained an MFA in acting from Case Western Reserve University. She has had a long career in academia, teaching acting at various institutions including Southern Methodist University, Webster College, the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, Illinois State University, and Collin College, from which she retired in 2020. Cronauer is a member of Actors' Equity Association (AEA) and Screen Actors Guild/AFTRA (SAG-AFTRA). Her diverse filmography includes notable appearances in movies such as JFK, Boys Don't Cry, Selena, The Newton Boys, and The Vast of Night, as well as television roles in series like Walker, Texas Ranger and Dallas. She is also a recipient of the 2007 Dallas Fort Worth Theater Critics Forum award for her role in the Lyric Stage production of Master Class. Cronauer is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and continues to act, teach privately, and is involved with Women in Film Dallas.
