Garret Dillahunt

Garret Lee Dillahunt is an American actor born on November 24, 1964, in Castro Valley, California, and raised in Selah, Washington. Initially, he pursued a degree in journalism from the University of Washington, graduating with a B.A. in 1987, before shifting his focus to acting and earning an M.F.A. from New York University's Graduate Acting Program. After establishing a strong foundation in theatrical productions both on and off-Broadway, Dillahunt transitioned to film and television, becoming widely recognized for his remarkable versatility and ability to play distinctly different characters. His career-defining television roles include two separate characters—Jack McCall and Francis Wolcott—in the HBO series Deadwood, the endearing Burt Chance in the Fox sitcom Raising Hope, for which he earned a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination, and John Dorie in Fear the Walking Dead. Dillahunt has also built a significant filmography, featuring supporting roles in acclaimed movies such as No Country for Old Men, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Winter's Bone, Looper, and 12 Years a Slave. He is married to actress Michelle Hurd.
