Gary Raymond

Gary Raymond is an English film, television, and theatre actor, born Gary Barrymore Raymond in Brixton, London, on April 20, 1935, to parents who were variety artistes. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and began his career in the mid-1950s, joining the Royal Shakespeare Company and touring with actors like Sir John Gielgud and Dame Peggy Ashcroft. He made his film debut in The Moonraker (1958) and quickly appeared in other major films, including Look Back in Anger (1959) opposite Richard Burton, Suddenly, Last Summer (1959) alongside Elizabeth Taylor, The Millionairess (1960) with Sophia Loren, and the epics El Cid (1961), Jason and the Argonauts (1963), and The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965). Raymond is also well-known for his role as Sergeant Jack Moffitt in the late-1960s American television show, The Rat Patrol (1966–1968), and he has continued to work prolifically on stage and screen throughout his career, with credits including The Foreigner (2003) and appearances in Victoria & Albert and House of the Dragon. He has been married to actress Delena Kidd since 1961, and they have three children.
