Gaurav Pandey

Born on January 5, 1990, in New Delhi, Gaurav Pandey is an Indian actor who has become a staple of contemporary Hindi cinema through his relatable "best friend" roles and natural screen presence. After schooling at Selaqui International School in Dehradun, he moved to Mumbai to formalize his training at the Kreating Characters acting school. He initially built a name for himself in the commercial circuit, appearing in major advertisements for brands like Volkswagen, KFC, and Sprite, which eventually paved the way for his feature film debut as Shaunty in the 2014 hit Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. His performance was so well-received that he became a recurring face in the Dharma Productions universe, later appearing in the spiritual sequel Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017) and most recently in the late 2025 romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, where he played the character Luv. Beyond the big screen, Pandey has been a pioneer in the Indian digital space, starring in early web successes like Y-Films' Man’s World (2015) and more recently appearing alongside Kajol in the Disney+ Hotstar legal drama The Trial (2023). His versatility has earned him critical recognition, including the Iconic Award for Best Supporting Actor at the 2025 NEXA Streaming Academy Awards for his performance in the comedy-drama Tumse Na Ho Payega. Often confused with the senior filmmaker of the same name, the actor has carved out his own distinct identity as a dependable character performer. As of early 2026, he is looking toward a busy year with a role in the highly anticipated action epic Border 2 and several upcoming streaming projects that continue to showcase his range from lighthearted comedy to intense drama.
