Gautami Kapoor
Gautami Kapoor (née Gadgil) is a well-known Indian television and film actress and model, primarily recognized for her prominent roles in Hindi TV serials. Born on June 21, 1974, in Maharashtra, she began her career in the late 1990s and gained significant popularity playing lead characters in major daily soaps. She is particularly remembered for her roles as Aanchal in Ghar Ek Mandir (2000–2002), where she met her future husband, and as Dr. Jaya Singh in Kehta Hai Dil, for which she earned acclaim. She also stepped into the shoes of the lead character Juhi Thakral in the popular show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.Gautami has also been active in films, appearing in supporting roles in notable Hindi movies such as Fanaa (2006), Student of the Year (2012), and Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021). More recently, she has been a part of the critically acclaimed web series Special OPS (2020), Special Ops 1.5 (2021), and the upcoming Special OPS S2 (2025), where she plays the character Saroj Singh. She is also set to appear in the sequel De De Pyaar De 2 (2025).In her personal life, Gautami first married commercial photographer Madhur Shroff, but the marriage ended in divorce. She subsequently married her Ghar Ek Mandir co-star, actor Ram Kapoor, on February 14, 2003. The couple is one of the industry's most respected pairs, and they have two children together: a daughter, Sia, and a son, Aks.
