The oldest of three children, he has a younger brother, Logan, and a younger sister, Ashlyn, who is also an actress and model. Casalegno began his career at the age of four with a modeling job for JCPenney, and later appeared in commercials for brands like Sony and Papa John's. His mother, Allyson Casalegno, managed his career while he traveled for auditions and work as a minor.He moved to Los Angeles for greater opportunities and at eleven, landed his first film project. His acting credits include playing young Shem in the 2014 film Noah, young Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries in 2015, and Trevor Strand in the first season of Walker in 2021. He gained significant recognition for his role as Jeremiah Fisher in the Amazon Prime series The Summer I Turned Pretty. Other notable roles include I Am Gabriel, The Iceman, Nine Seconds, and The Unhealer. Casalegno married Cheyanne King in late 2024.
