Maria Giuseppina "Geppi" Cucciari, born in Cagliari, Italy, on August 18, 1973, is a prominent Italian stand-up comedian, actress, television presenter, radio host, and author. She spent her youth in Macomer and pursued her university studies, graduating with a degree in Law from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. Her professional career began to take off in the early 2000s after joining the Zelig artistic laboratory and the "Scaldasole" theater workshop. She achieved a breakthrough in 2003 with the variety show Zelig Off and later starred in the sitcom Belli dentro from 2005 to 2012, for which she won the Telegrolla award for Best Sitcom Actress.Cucciari has proven to be a versatile figure in Italian media. She has successfully hosted a variety of television programs, including two editions of Italia's Got Talent, the literary game show Per un pugno di libri, and the annual Strega Prize ceremony. Her recent work includes hosting her own cultural variety show, Splendida cornice, since 2023, and serving as a co-host for the fourth night of the Sanremo Music Festival 2025. On the radio, she co-hosts the satirical program Un giorno da pecora (A Day as a Sheep) since 2015. As an actress, she has appeared in several films, such as Grande, grosso e Verdone (2008), L'arbitro (2013), and the 2024 films Romeo è Giulietta and Diamanti. She is also an author, debuting with the novel Meglio donna che male accompagnata in 2006. Cucciari is also known to have played basketball up to the A2 series with Virtus Cagliari. She was married to Luca Bonaccorsi from 2012 to 2016.
