Gigi Levangie, born Georgianne Levangie on January 2, 1963, is an American novelist, screenwriter, and television producer. She grew up in Los Angeles, where she was a class clown and played violin before becoming a cheerleader in high school. She attended UCLA, and her career in Hollywood began with an internship on a late-night talk show. She later worked as an assistant to producer Fred Silverman, who encouraged her to pursue writing.Levangie is a New York Times bestselling author of several novels, including The Starter Wife (2006) and Maneater (2003), both of which were adapted into miniseries. She also wrote the screenplay for the 1998 film Stepmom, starring Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon. Her articles have appeared in publications such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Glamour. She has also worked in television as a host and judge on the reality show The Arrangement and as a guest judge on RuPaul's Drag Race. She was married to film producer Brian Grazer from 1997 to 2009 and has two sons.
