Giulia Andò

Giulia Andò is an Italian actress and screenwriter born in Palermo in 1988. She is the daughter of renowned director Roberto Andò. In 2001, she moved to Rome with her father. She pursued acting studies at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia from 2008 to 2011. Her film debut came in 2007 with La siciliana ribelle, directed by Marco Amenta. She later appeared in Dudas (2011), Viva la libertà (2013), Le confessioni (2016), and La stranezza (2022), the latter directed by her father. In La stranezza, she portrayed Santina, a seamstress and costume designer, earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2023 David di Donatello awards. In 2025, she starred as Assuntina, a nun undergoing a profound transformation, in L'Abbaglio, directed by Roberto Andò. Beyond acting, Giulia Andò co-wrote the TV series Solo per passione – Letizia Battaglia fotografa in 2021. She has also participated in various theatrical productions, including Clitennestra (2015) and Il quadro nero (2015), both directed by her father. Fluent in Italian, English, and French, she resides in Rome and is represented by Diberti & C. s.r.l.
