Gizem Emre
Gizem Emre is a German actress known for her prominent roles in successful German film franchises and television series. Born on May 22, 1995, in Berlin-Kreuzberg to Kurdish parents from Turkey, she speaks both German and Turkish as her mother tongues and is fluent in English.She gained widespread recognition for her breakout role as Zeynep in the blockbuster comedy film series Fack ju Göhte (known internationally as Suck Me Shakespeer), starring in all three main installments (2013, 2015, 2017) and reprising the role in the 2024 spin-off, Chantal im Märchenland (Chantal in Fairyland). Her performance in the first film earned her a share of the Bavarian Film Award for Best Young Actress Ensemble.Beyond the film franchise, Emre is also a familiar face on German television. She is known for her long-running role as Dana Gerkhan in the popular action series Alarm für Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolizei, which she has been part of since 2014. Her other work includes the Netflix series Paradise (2023), the historical Turkish series Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem (Magnificent Century: Kösem), and various other German TV and film productions. She currently lives in Berlin.
