He gained recognition with his debut in the 2015 coming-of-age film 14+, directed by Andrey Zaytsev, where he portrayed Alexey Vasilyev. The film was well-received and showcased Kalyuzhny's talent in a leading role. Following his success in 14+, Kalyuzhny continued to build his acting career with roles in various projects, including the 2023 sequel 14+: Continued, where he reprised his role as Alexey. He also appeared in the 2025 historical drama Red Silk, portraying Artyom Svetlov. Additionally, Kalyuzhny starred in the 2025 series Chelyuskin. The First, playing Yuri Nabatov.
