Gong Myoung, born Kim Dong-hyun on May 26, 1994, is a South Korean actor. He made his debut in 2013 as a member of 5urprise, the first-ever "actor group" formed by the agency Fantagio, alongside fellow actors Seo Kang-joon and Kang Tae-oh.He is widely recognized for his role as the youngest detective, Jae-hoon, in the 2019 blockbuster comedy film Extreme Job, which became the second highest-grossing film in South Korean history. His performance earned him a number of Best New Actor nominations and awards.Gong Myoung has built a versatile filmography across television and film. He is known for his roles in K-dramas such as the romantic comedy Drinking Solo (2016), the fantasy series The Bride of Habaek (2017), the popular slice-of-life drama Be Melodramatic (2019), and the historical fantasy Lovers of the Red Sky (2021). In 2025, he appeared in the film Love Untangled and is set to star in several upcoming series, including Way Back Love, Second Shot at Love, and Mercy for None.In December 2021, he began his mandatory military service and was discharged in June 2023. He is the older brother of Doyoung, a member of the popular K-pop group NCT.
