Gong Seung-yeon
Gong Seung-yeon, whose birth name is Yoo Seung-yeon, is a South Korean actress born on February 27, 1993, in Seoul. She initially trained for seven years to be a singer under SM Entertainment, winning the "Best Looks" portion of the SM Youth Best Contest in 2005, but later left to pursue an acting career, making her television debut in 2012. She gained wider recognition through the historical drama Six Flying Dragons (2015-2016), which earned her a New Star Award, and through the reality show We Got Married in 2015. Her television career includes notable roles in series such as Circle (2017), Are You Human? (2018), Bulgasal: Immortal Souls (2021-2022), and as a main cast member in the action-drama The First Responders (Seasons 1 and 2, 2022–2023). She achieved a significant career milestone with her first feature film, the independent drama Aloners (2021), for which she won multiple accolades including the Best New Actress award at the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards and the Best Acting Award from the Jeonju International Film Festival. She is also the older sister of Yoo Jeong-yeon, a member of the girl group TWICE.
