Gordon Lam Ka-Tung (林家棟), born on September 21, 1967, in Kowloon City, British Hong Kong, is a notable Hong Kong actor, film producer, and screenwriter. He began his career after graduating from TVB's 15th Artist Training Class in 1988, initially working as an extra for several years. His popularity with Hong Kong audiences grew following his impersonation of Jacky Cheung, which led to larger roles, including starring in the popular 1997 TV series Time Before Time.Lam transitioned to the film industry, often appearing in supporting roles in movies directed by Andrew Lau and Johnnie To, such as Infernal Affairs (2002) and the Election series (2005-2006). He eventually rose to become a lead actor and also became a producer, making his debut in that role for the 2010 film Gallants, which won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Film. His work on the 2016 film Trivisa earned him the prestigious Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actor in 2017. Other key film appearances include Ip Man (2008), Firestorm (2013), Hand Rolled Cigarette (2020), and Limbo (2021). Lam also won the New York Asian Film Festival's Variety Star Asia Award in 2021 for Hand Rolled Cigarette.
