Grace Gummer (born Grace Jane Gummer on May 9, 1986, in New York City) is an American actress and the daughter of actress Meryl Streep and sculptor Don Gummer. She is one of four children, with siblings Henry Wolfe Gummer, Mamie Gummer, and Louisa Jacobson, the latter two also being actresses. Gummer earned a degree in art history and Italian from Vassar College.She made her screen acting debut as a child, billed as "Jane Grey," in the 1993 film The House of the Spirits, playing the younger version of her mother's character. She made her professional acting debut after college in the 2008 Off-Off-Broadway play The Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents. She later debuted on Broadway in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia in 2011, for which she received a Theatre World Award. Her other theatre credits include The Columnist and playing Hero in Much Ado About Nothing.Gummer is known for her television work, including main cast roles such as FBI Agent Dominique "Dom" DiPierro on the series Mr. Robot and Julie Gelineau in Extant. She has also had recurring roles in The Newsroom, American Horror Story: Coven, and American Horror Story: Freak Show. In film, her credits include Frances Ha, The Homesman, and the recent 2025 movie Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, where she played Barbara Landau. Gummer was married to Tay Strathairn from 2019 until their divorce in 2020, and she married Mark Ronson in 2021. She has two children.
