Guillaume de Tonquédec
Guillaume de Tonquédec, born on October 18, 1966, in Paris, is a highly regarded French stage, television, and film actor. He began his professional acting career in the late 1980s after graduating from the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris. He first gained recognition in film with his role in Krzysztof Kieslowski's The Double Life of Véronique (1991) and later became a household name in France for his long-running role as Renaud Lepic in the popular TV series Fais pas ci, fais pas ça (2007–2017). His performance as Claude Gatignol in the 2012 film What's in a Name? earned him the César Award for Best Supporting Actor. De Tonquédec is known for his versatility and has appeared in a wide range of genres, from comedies like Barbecue (2014) to dramas and thrillers. In 2015, he was made a Knight in the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture. His recent work includes a role in the 2025 Luc Besson film, Dracula: A Love Tale.
