Haley Joel Osment is an American actor born on April 10, 1988, in Los Angeles, California. He began his career as a child actor, first gaining recognition with a Pizza Hut TV commercial at age four, which led to his role in the TV sitcom Thunder Alley. His breakthrough film performance came as Forrest Gump's son in the 1994 film Forrest Gump. However, Osment achieved widespread international stardom in 1999 with his critically acclaimed role as Cole Sear, a psychic child, in M. Night Shyamalan's thriller The Sixth Sense, for which he earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, making him one of the youngest nominees in that category.
