Ashley Nicolette Frangipane (born September 29, 1994), professionally known as Halsey, is a highly acclaimed American singer, songwriter, and actress. She gained prominence for her genre-bending music, which often blends pop, electronic, and alternative sounds, and for her candid lyrics that explore themes of mental health, relationships, and sexuality. Halsey is also a vocal advocate for mental health awareness, women's rights, and LGBTQ+ causes. Her music career took off after she released her debut EP, "Room 93," in 2014, and her debut studio album, "Badlands," in 2015, which was a critical and commercial success.
