Halston Sage, born on May 10, 1993, in Los Angeles, California, is an American actress who began her entertainment career at the age of seventeen. Prior to her career taking off, Sage was editor of her high school's newspaper and rode horses competitively. Her acting career was launched in 2011 with the Nickelodeon series How to Rock, where she starred as Grace King, and she also made guest appearances in other Nickelodeon shows like Victorious and Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures.Sage quickly transitioned into film, appearing in the 2012 teen drama The First Time, followed by roles in The Bling Ring (2013), Grown Ups 2 (2013), and the successful comedy Neighbors (2014), for which she was a nominee for the MTV Movie Award "Best Kiss." She continued her film work with starring roles in Paper Towns (2015) as Lacey Pemberton, Goosebumps (2015), and Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015).On television, she was cast in the main role of Amber Fitch in the NBC series Crisis (2014) and later gained significant recognition as Lt. Alara Kitan on the Fox science-fiction dramedy series The Orville, a role she held from 2017 to 2019, with a later special guest appearance in 2022. She also starred as Ainsley Whitly on the Fox television series Prodigal Son from 2019 to 2021. More recent film credits include Before I Fall (2017), The Last Summer (2019), and the independent comedy The List (2023), which she also executive produced.
