Hannah Emily Anderson
Hannah Emily Anderson is a Canadian actress, producer, and writer who has established a significant presence in the horror and thriller genres. Born on September 1, 1989, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she graduated from the George Brown Theatre School in Toronto before beginning her professional career in 2012. She rose to international prominence for her roles as Eleanor Bonneville in the horror-mystery Jigsaw (2017) and Jackie in the thriller What Keeps You Alive (2018), with the latter earning her critical comparisons to Rosamund Pike’s performance in Gone Girl. Her television work is equally extensive, including a lead role as Jenna Betancourt in the series The Purge (2018), as well as appearances in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Shoot the Messenger, and Gangland Undercover. In the upcoming psychological horror film Return to Silent Hill (2026), she stars in a demanding multi-character capacity, portraying Mary Shepherd-Sunderland, her mysterious counterpart Maria, and reportedly the character Angela, serving as the central figure James Sunderland (Jeremy Irvine) journeys into the town to find.
