Born on August 27, 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia, Page became a life member of the prestigious Actors Studio, a testament to his dedication to his craft.He is widely recognized for his memorable role as the ill-tempered Captain Trunk in the 1980s police satire series "Sledge Hammer!", where his character's exasperation with the titular detective became a fan favorite. Prior to that, he was a regular on the series "C.P.O.
