Holt McCallany (born Holt Quinn McAloney on September 3, 1963) is an American actor known for his intense and often morally complex characters in both film and television. Raised in Dublin, Ireland, he returned to the United States to pursue acting, studying at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City. McCallany's early career saw him in supporting roles in films like Casualties of War (1989) and Alien 3 (1992). He gained significant recognition for his leading role as boxer Patrick "Lights" Leary in the critically acclaimed FX television series Lights Out (2011).
