Hrithik Roshan is a prominent Indian actor, dancer, and producer who works primarily in Hindi cinema. Born on January 10, 1974, in Mumbai, he comes from a film family; his father is director-producer Rakesh Roshan, and his grandfather is the legendary music director Roshan. He began his acting career as a child artist in the 1980s before working as an assistant director on his father's films.He made a blockbuster debut as a leading man in the romantic action film Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000), which was directed by his father. The film catapulted him to overnight stardom and earned him both the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut and Best Actor.
