Rafael Hugo Fernández Silva, known professionally as Hugo Silva, is a Spanish actor born on May 10, 1977, in Madrid. He initially worked as an electrician before deciding to pursue his true passion for acting, a decision his mother encouraged. He trained at the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (RESAD), one of Spain's most prestigious theater schools, and also studied voice and guitar.Silva's career took off with his portrayal of the vulgar but beloved cop Lucas Fernández in the hit television series Los hombres de Paco (2005–2009). The role made him a household name in Spain and garnered him a nomination for the Fotogramas de Plata for Best Television Actor. Since then, he has maintained a consistent and impressive presence in Spanish television, with notable roles in series like El Ministerio del Tiempo (2016) and Brigada Costa del Sol (2019).
