Ian Hanlin is a Canadian voice actor from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, known for his versatile performances in a wide range of animated series, video games, and commercials. After studying drama at Bishop's University in Quebec, he relocated to Vancouver and has since become one of Canada's most in-demand voice actors.He is well-regarded for his work on several popular franchises. In the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, he has voiced both the stoic anti-hero Shadow the Hedgehog and the lovable Big the Cat in the Netflix series Sonic Prime. He also has a notable presence in the My Little Pony franchise, where he is the voice of Sunburst and other characters in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. His other prominent voice roles include Lance Richmond in LEGO Nexo Knights, Acronix in Ninjago, Owen Grady in the LEGO Jurassic World animated specials, and the title character in the 2019 reboot of Mr. Magoo. In addition to animation, Hanlin has provided voices for video games like Far Cry 5 and is the lead voice of Jesus in the 2025 animated film Light of the World.
