Igor Vitalievich Jijikine is a Russian-American actor, born on October 8, 1965, in Moscow. Prior to his film career, he was an accomplished sportsman, honored as Master of Sports in the USSR, and performed in the circus arts, including with the Moscow State Circus and in Las Vegas productions such as Cirque du Soleil's Mystère. His transition to acting led to roles in both Russian and Hollywood films, and he is best known to Western audiences for his role as the ruthless Soviet commando Colonel Antonin Dovchenko in Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). He has since worked with notable directors like Clint Eastwood and J. J. Abrams, and has appeared in video game cutscenes, notably modeling as a Soviet soldier for the cover of Red Alert 2.
