Ine Marie Wilmann is an acclaimed Norwegian stage, film, and television actress, born on February 18, 1985, in Bærum, Norway. She graduated from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre in Oslo in 2011. Wilmann is highly recognized for portraying complex and emotionally demanding characters, earning her a breakthrough with the lead role of Charlotte in the 2015 drama film Homesick (De nærmeste), for which she won the Amanda Award for Best Actress, Norway's highest film honor. She gained further international recognition for her challenging role as the legendary figure skater Sonja Henie in the 2018 biographical drama Sonja: The White Swan, which required intense physical training. Globally, she is best known for her lead role as the intrepid paleontologist Nora Tidemann in the immensely successful Netflix monster film Troll (2022), a role she is reprising in the sequel, Troll 2 (2025). Her other notable awards include the Gullruten in 2016 for the crime drama series Det tredje øyet and another Amanda Award in 2023 for Best Supporting Actress for the film War Sailor.
