Irina Maria Bravo Padrós, known professionally as Irina Bravo, is a Catalan-Chilean actress. Having worked with well-known Spanish directors such as Fernando G. Molina (Paraíso) or Albert Pintó (Nowhere), Irina’s acting career has brought her roles that range from the whimsical manic pixie dream girl to the intricately troubled young woman.
Starting off dancing as a kid, she spent her childhood involved in all other kinds of artistic activities including singing, gymnastics, painting and writing. Wanting to pursue acting professionally motivated her to learn English and accelerate her education, undertaking her baccalaureate in the UK and completing her A-Levels in a single year, instead of the natural two. At the age of 17, she entered the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York, where she lived for a bit more than three years. Soon after graduating, she starred as the title character in the gripping horror short film “Lucy’s Tale” (2019), which had its World Premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival, one of the biggest genre film festivals in the world showcasing science fiction, horror, and fantasy. After its US Premiere at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival in October 2018, it went on to screen at a number of fests before its release online in the summer of 2019 on Gunpowder & Sky’s horror platform, Alter, where it has been viewed over 6.1 million times.
