Isabel May is an American actress born on November 21, 2000, in Santa Monica, California. Her journey into acting began after three years of unsuccessful auditions, which led her and her parents to transition her to online schooling in the tenth grade so she could focus entirely on her craft. This decision proved pivotal, as she landed her first major role just six months later, starring as Katie Cooper in the Netflix series Alexa & Katie (2018–2020) without any prior professional acting experience. During this time, she also gained recognition for her recurring role as Veronica Duncan on the CBS sitcom Young Sheldon. Her career reached new heights when she was cast by Taylor Sheridan as Elsa Dutton, the lead character and narrator of the Yellowstone prequel series 1883 (2021–2022).
