Ishita Dutta
Ishita Dutta is an Indian actress and model who has established herself across Hindi cinema and television, notably recognized for her work in the Drishyam film series. Born on August 26, 1990, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, into a Bengali Hindu family, she is the younger sister of actress and former Miss India, Tanushree Dutta. Ishita began her career in the South Indian film industry, making her acting debut in the 2012 Telugu film Chanakyudu and subsequently appearing in a Kannada film.Her breakthrough came on television with the lead role of Poonam in the Star Plus soap opera Ek Ghar Banaunga (2013–2014). Her most significant and widely acclaimed role, however, came with her Bollywood debut in the 2015 suspense thriller Drishyam, and its sequel Drishyam 2 (2022), where she earned widespread praise for playing Anju Salgaonkar, the daughter of Ajay Devgn’s character. She has also appeared in other Hindi films such as Firangi (2017) opposite Kapil Sharma, and the action-thriller Blank (2019). On television, she played the lead role of Pragati Saxena/Bani Malhotra in the mystery-romance show Bepanah Pyaar (2019-2020) and the lead role of Kajol Mukherjee in Thoda Sa Baadal Thoda Sa Paani (2021-2022).In her personal life, Ishita married her co-star from the show Rishton Ka Saudagar - Baazigar, actor Vatsal Sheth, in 2017. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Vaayu, in July 2023, and a baby girl named Veda in June 2025. She continues to be active in the industry and is set to appear in the upcoming film De De Pyaar De 2 (2025).
