Jade Croot

Jade Croot is a Welsh actress from Merthyr Tydfil. She began her acting career at the Mark Jermin stage school at the age of 12 and later joined the Royal Shakespeare Company at 16, where she played Helen of Troy in a production of Dr. Faustus. Her other notable stage credits include roles in the National Theatre's adaptation of Neil Gaiman's The Ocean at the End of the Lane and her West End debut in Imperium Part I: Conspirator and Imperium Part II: Dictator. On screen, Croot has appeared in television series such as The Accident (2019), where she played Leona Bevan, and has had roles in Casualty, The Reckoning, and Steeltown Murders. Her feature film roles include the lead role of Mary in The Machine and, most recently, her critically acclaimed performance in the 2025 folk horror film Rabbit Trap. In Rabbit Trap, Croot co-stars with Dev Patel and Rosy McEwen, portraying a mysterious, ageless child. Critics have singled out her performance as "skin-crawlingly effective," making her one of the breakout stars of the film.
