Jaime Federico Said Camil Saldaña da Gama, professionally known as Jaime Camil, is a prominent Mexican-Brazilian actor, singer, and television personality born on July 22, 1973, in Mexico City. The son of a successful businessman and a Brazilian singer, Camil initially pursued a bachelor's degree in business administration from Universidad Anáhuac before pivoting to the arts. He underwent extensive training, studying acting in New York, Los Angeles, and Mexico, as well as classical opera in Italy. His professional career began in 1993 as a radio commentator, which led to hosting his own television programs like El show de Jaime Camil and Qué nochecita con Jaime Camil. Camil rose to international fame through his work in telenovelas, most notably starring as Fernando Mendiola in the massive hit La fea más bella (2006–2007) and portraying multiple roles in Por ella soy Eva.
