Born Jaimie Lauren Tarbush on March 12, 1984, in Greenville, South Carolina, she was raised in Grapevine, Texas, where she attended Colleyville Heritage High School. During her school years, she was one of the few girls on the school's wrestling team, showcasing her early affinity for physical challenges. Alexander's acting career began in 2003 with a leading role in the low-budget film The Other Side (2006).
