James Binkley

James Binkley is an accomplished stunt coordinator, actor, and fight director with a career spanning over two decades. He’s accumulated well over 200 professional production credits—on-screen and behind the scenes—including major Hollywood films like Cinderella Man (2005), Land of the Dead (2005), The Incredible Hulk, RoboCop (2014), and It Chapter Two (2019) . James has served as stunt coordinator on multiple TV series and movies, such as Republic of Doyle, Bitten, Adoration, Ransom, Humane, and Out Come the Wolves. He’s also been a stunt double and performer in high-profile projects like Nobody (2021) and Come Play (2020). In addition to his production work, Binkley contributes to the craft through education—leading masterclasses like “Fighting on Set” and serving as a Senior Instructor with the Academy of Dramatic Combat and Society of Canadian Fight Directors. His expertise has been showcased across theatre (notably 10 seasons at Stratford Shakespeare Festival, 11 with the Canadian Opera Company), film, and television, highlighting his versatility and commitment to both performance and safety in combat choreography.
