
James McGrath
James McGrath is a talented American voice actor and performer best known for his quirky and memorable contributions to the Boss Baby franchise. A graduate of Western Washington University, where he studied classical and contemporary acting, McGrath first made a name for himself in the improv comedy scene as a member of the award-winning "Dead Parrots Society." His transition to professional voice acting reached a peak with his portrayal of Wizzie, the Gandalf-esque talking alarm clock and wizard mentor to the Templeton brothers. He voiced the character in the original The Boss Baby (2017), the television series The Boss Baby: Back in Business, and the 2021 sequel The Boss Baby: Family Business. In addition to his role as Wizzie, McGrath provided the voices for various background characters and an Elvis impersonator within the Boss Baby films. His versatility extends beyond animation, as he has also appeared in live-action blockbusters; most notably, he portrayed Vice Admiral Resdox in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015), where he was credited as Jim McGrath. Outside of film, he has lent his voice to video games like Harry Potter: Magic Awakening, playing a young Newt Scamander. Today, he remains an active figure in the Los Angeles acting community, recognized for his ability to bring distinct personality to eccentric, high-energy characters.
