He pursued his passion for acting by graduating from Theatre Nepean, University of Western Sydney, in 2000. Turner's career spans over two decades, during which he has portrayed a wide array of characters, from comedic to dramatic roles. In the 2024 New Zealand body horror film Grafted, Turner plays the role of Professor Paul, a morally ambiguous lecturer who becomes entangled in the protagonist's experimental research. Beyond Grafted, Turner's notable television roles include portraying Ty Johnson, the Norse god of winter, in the series The Almighty Johnsons (2011–2013), and Ben Maddox in the series Go Girls (2009–2010).
