Jason Scott Lee
Jason Scott Lee is an American actor and martial artist, born on November 19, 1966, in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Hawaii from the age of two. Of Hawaiian and Chinese descent, his interest in acting developed during high school and was further cultivated at Fullerton College under acting coach Sal Romeo. Lee began his career with smaller roles in films like Born in East L.A. (1987) and Back to the Future Part II (1989). He gained significant recognition for his starring role as Bruce Lee in the 1993 biopic Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, for which he underwent intensive Jeet Kune Do training. He continued to take on notable roles, including Mowgli in Disney's live-action The Jungle Book (1994), and later appeared as Böri Khan in Disney's live-action Mulan (2020) and David Kawena (voice) in the animated Lilo & Stitch (2002). Lee has also had a presence in television, with roles in Hawaii Five-0 and Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., and has performed in live theater, including a Broadway revival of The King and I. He is known for his physicality and has been an advocate for greater representation of Asian actors in Hollywood. His upcoming projects include the live-action Lilo & Stitch (2025) where he will play the Lu'au Manager.
