Jean-Paul Rouve is a French actor, director, screenwriter, and producer, born on January 26, 1967, in Malo-les-Bains, France. He initially trained at the Cours Florent drama school in Paris, where he developed his passion for acting. Rouve gained early recognition as a member of the comedy troupe Les Robins des Bois, which became known for its humorous sketches and performances. His film career took off with notable roles in movies like Monsieur Batignole (2002), for which he won the French Academy of Cinema's Best Young Actor award, and Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (2002). He later starred in the popular Les Tuche series (2011–2025), portraying Jeff Tuche, a working-class man who unexpectedly becomes wealthy. In addition to his acting career, Rouve has ventured into directing, making his debut with The Easy Way (2008) and later directing Nobody Else but You (2011). His versatility in both comedic and dramatic roles, along with his success as a director, has solidified his place as one of France's most respected figures in cinema.
